Eligibility
This program is designed for undergraduates and graduate students majoring in any biological science, environmental science, wildlife ecology, or related fields. Students from other institutions are encouraged to apply for this unique learning experience.
Students must be in good academic standing, having an overall grade point average of at least 3.0 at the time of application, which can be obtained from the Office of Study Abroad. Meeting this minimum GPA requirement, however, does not guarantee admission. All admitted students will have taken either BS 110, LBS 144, or LBS 148H. Priority will be given to students who have successfully completed both ZOL 313 (Animal behavior) and ZOL 365 (The biology of mammals), ZOL 355 (Ecology) and ZOL 415 (Behavioral Ecology), although these courses are not required. Final acceptance into the program is based on an individual interview with the instructors.
Admission in 2010 will be limited to 16 students.
It should be noted that not all sites involved in this program are accessible to individuals with certain disabilities.
An applicant’s participation may be denied or their participation approval may be revoked if their conduct before departure raises doubts as to their suitability for program participation.
